Medicare Agent Scam – Wyoming County
Medicare scam Reports from Wyoming County, Pa state that an individual misrepresenting himself as a Medicare agent is making appointments for house visits with beneficiaries to discuss their benefits. The individual drives a silver Jeep Liberty with a New York license plate. The individual allegedly introduces himself as Barry Felps or Phelps.
This is a scam. Remember:
- Medicare representatives never schedule house calls with beneficiaries
- Medicare representatives never contact beneficiaries to obtain medicare numbers or sell products
- Never share your Medicare information with any stranger who calls, visits, or approaches you in a public setting
